Craft-a-Thon, Saturday,
January 28, 2012 - You are invited to a
craft-a-thon to create quilts and afghans for the
Mass Coalition for the Homeless' Blanket Drive.
Let's help families feel warm and cozy with our
handmade gifts of quilts and afghans.
All skills and abilities are welcome - ironing,
sewing, arranging, knitting, crocheting, piecing,
and more. We'll show you what to do. Quilters
are invited to make a "Jewel Box" block in bright
colors with white patch. Contact
Judy Artley
for the pattern.
Yarnies are invited to knit or crochet 6"x6" squares
(your choice of color and stitch) of worsted weight
acrylic yarn.
You may make blocks or squares in advance and bring
them to the craft-a-thon, or bring your tools with
you.
The
event is on Saturday, January 28, noon to 5 pm, at
St Andrew's Church, 3 Maple St, Framingham, and is
open to the public. |

List Signup - We have begun
using a new tool for internal communication!
Some of you may have heard of Constant Contact (www.constantcontact.com)
and may already receive newsletters that are distributed by
them. Constant
Contact is a reputable online company that enables the
creation of professional-looking emails, distribution lists,
and secure email lists.
The best part is that the lists are self-managed - you
sign yourself up for whatever list(s) you'd like to
received newsletters regarding, and you can remove
yourself at any time.
If you would
like to signup to be on an email list, please click
"Email List Signup" on the left-hand navigation bar,
or click
here.
Note:
We have two active lists: Tidings and Parish
News. The Parish News email list is used about
once a month; more often if there is more going on in
the parish. If you don't remember which list(s)
you signed up for, you can follow the instructions
below:
| To
check which list(s) you signed up for: |
| Open
one of the emails you have received (if you
haven't received any, then click "Email
List Signup" on the left-hand navigation
bar, and follow those
instructions).
At the bottom
of the email, click "update profile/email
address". This will open a new
window in your web browser. Click
"submit" on that web page and
instructions for proceeding will be emailed to
you.
When you
receive the email, all you need to do is click
"update your profile" and then you
will be taken to a web page where you can
remove yourself from all or some lists, or
change the lists you are signed up for.
All open lists are listed, with a checkmark
next to the ones you are currently on.
Click
"save profile changes" when you're
done, and that's all you need to do! |
This
is a new process for us, so please be patient while we
transition to using this wonderful new
service.
