Lists
We have begun
using a new tool for internal communication!
Some of you may have heard of Constant Contact (www.constantcontact.com)
and may already receive newsletters that are distributed by
them. Constant
Contact is a reputable online company that enables the
creation of professional-looking emails, distribution lists,
and secure email lists. The
Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and several area
churches currently use Constant Contact to send out their
monthly newsletter and other information.
If you would
like to signup to be on an email list, please enter your email
in the field below and click Join. A new browser window
will open, asking you to confirm your email address, provide
your name, and select which email list(s) you wish to join.
Some
things to note:
1.
For those of you who may be concerned about privacy of your
email address with Constant Contact, please refer to their
privacy statement at http://www.constantcontact.com/privacy_guarantee.jsp.
2.
You will see that we have quite a few email list selections from
which you may choose. Most of these email lists will be
used probably no more often than monthly, with the exception of
the youth-related email lists, which may be used more frequently
as needed.
3.
If an email is sent to multiple lists and you are on all of
those lists, you will only receive one email. An example:
an email is being sent to the following lists: Parents of
Young Children and Friends, Fledgling Parents, Church School
Parents, Rite 13 Parents and Acolyte Parents. You may have
joined the Parents of Young Children and Friends, Fledgling
Parents, and Church School Parents, but you will only receive
one email and not three.
4.
As we are in the beginning stages of using this service, we may
find that some of these selections do not end up being used and
may be removed in the future, and we may find that others would
be useful to add in the future.
5.
You can remove yourself from any or all lists at any time.
Each email you receive will contain a link that you may use to
remove yourself and/or update your preferences and email lists
to which you are subscribed.
We
look forward to any input you may provide us about this, and
appreciate your patience with us as we switch to this new
service.
