Statement of Welcome

Welcome!

St. Andrew’s is a theologically diverse Episcopal parish located in the heart of Framingham, within the MetroWest region of Massachusetts—a city rich in cultural, linguistic, and religious diversity. Rooted in a deep love for our history and traditions, we are also continually being shaped by new voices and new energy as our city and the wider MetroWest communities grow. Some among us have worshiped here for generations, while many others are newer to St. Andrew’s. Together, we form a community grounded in faith, curiosity, and a shared desire to live out the Gospel in our time and place.

Guided by our baptismal covenant, we seek to respect the dignity of every human being. We strive to be an inclusive community—part of God’s Beloved Community—where all are welcomed and valued regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, intellectual or physical ability, age, or any other distinction that might be used to divide God’s people. We welcome all to this house of worship to experience the good news of God’s love and to participate fully in the life of this community of faith.

Our worship reflects the richness of who we are, with music that is eclectic and prayerful, drawing from both traditional and contemporary expressions. Beyond Sunday mornings, our campus is a place of connection, creativity, and service, hosting many community organizations including Massachusetts Communities Action Network (MCAN), Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC), ProGente Connections, and BNI, just to name a few.

At our heart, St. Andrew’s is a faithful and compassionate community, committed to sharing Christ’s love through worship, hospitality, and action—for the sake of our neighbors and the world God so loves.

Mission Statement

In response to God’s grace and love extended to us through his Son Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called:

  • to seek God’s will in all that we do;

  • to worship God as a Eucharistic community grounded in the Bible, using The Book of Common Prayer and enriching our liturgy with a variety of styles;

  • to nurture one another in all stages of life through prayer and healing, education and study, pastoral care and action, and fellowship and program;

  • to go into the community to serve, sharing the gifts God has given to us; and

  • to invite others to faith in Jesus Christ, bearing witness to God’s love for all and sharing experiences of God’s work in our lives.
